The ENETIQA Group only cooperates with suppliers which it can trust, and which respect the principles of ethical conduct and act in accordance with legislative/regulatory requirements. Because we are involved in major energy projects (e.g. energy-saving projects), we expect our suppliers to comply with the rules of ethical conduct as well. The Code of Conduct for ENETIQA Group Suppliers sets out our main requirements for suppliers, primarily in the areas of behaviour towards employees and the environment and compliance with the law.
Many ENETIQA Group suppliers operate in multiple countries. ENETIQA Group expects its suppliers to comply with the law in all countries in which they operate.
Our Code of Conduct for suppliers requires that all ENETIQA Group suppliers respect human rights. ENETIQA Group expects its suppliers to respect the fundamental labour rights set out in the UN and ILO (International Labour Organization) conventions and in particular all local labour legislation.
We demand an end to all forced labour. Our suppliers must take action to put a stop to it in their supply chains as well. It is unacceptable to take away employees’ identity cards or passports, pay them irregularly or after a long period of time, or subject them to coercion.
Every Supplier must ensure that neither it nor its supply chain employs persons of an age lower than the minimum permitted by local legislation, nor of an age lower than 14, even in countries where this is permitted by local legislation. Persons under the age of 18 must not work with hazardous chemicals, even in countries where this is not prohibited by local legislation.
Our suppliers are committed to treating all employees fairly during the recruitment process and throughout their employment, regardless of colour, race, nationality, ethnicity, political affiliation, social background, disabilities, gender, sexual identity or age. They are not to accept any form of mistreatment, including sexual harassment or discrimination. Suppliers must treat agency employees in the same way as permanent employees.
Suppliers with more than fifty employees operating in the Czech Republic are required to establish a whistleblowing system under the Whistleblower Protection Act.
The ENETIQA Group expects its suppliers to take care of their employees’ health and safety.
Prevent workplace accidents and immediately address any unsafe and health-threatening working conditions. Keep OHS risks under control and take the best possible measures against occupational injuries and diseases. Evaluate risks and implement measures to eliminate or minimise them. Have a responsible person in charge of health and safety who trains your employees in OHS. This role can also be filled by an external supplier.
The ENETIQA Group’s environmental protection policy is governed by Czech and European standards. We take the environment into account during our energy production activities. We strive to have the lowest possible impact on the environment, and above all we are constantly reducing our carbon footprint. We therefore require our suppliers to likewise protect the environment and strive continuously to reduce their negative impacts. We expect their environmental policy to include, among other things, the following:
ENETIQA Group does not tolerate corruption and fraudulent behaviour in its business activities. We require the same from our suppliers in their business dealings with both the ENETIQA Group and any other parties. When dealing with representatives of the ENETIQA Group, neither suppliers nor their agents may offer or solicit bribes, gifts or entertainment beyond the scope of normal business practice, travel expenses, sponsorships, or contributions or gifts to third parties.
The ENETIQA Group expects its business partners to comply with all applicable laws and respect intellectual property. We expect suppliers to act in accordance with antitrust laws and competition rules and not engage in price fixing, market sharing or backroom agreements on bids with their competitors. They will respect the trade secrets and intellectual property of the ENETIQA Group and all others.
The supplier must ensure that its representatives and agents do not have a conflict of interest when dealing with ENETIQA Group. If such a conflict of interest does arise, they must inform the ENETIQA Group’s Compliance Manager (email: compliance@enetiqa.cz).
ENETIQA Group suppliers must not be involved in any way with money laundering or terrorist financing. They must verify the identity and background of their customers, business partners and other third parties and the origin of payments to ensure that they are not involved, even indirectly, in money laundering or terrorist financing through their business with them.
When selecting their business partners, suppliers must respect the fact that the ENETIQA Group does not cooperate with natural and legal persons subject to national sanctions from the Czech Republic and international sanctions from the European Union. We require that our suppliers follow the same principle.
The Code of Conduct for ENETIQA Group Suppliers is binding for all suppliers of ENETIQA Group companies and is an integral part of their contractual arrangements.
This Code of Conduct for ENETIQA Group Suppliers will come into force on 1 January 2025.
